Interested in an EAL session?
Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is a unique and powerful learning experience through interactive ground activities with horses.
EAL can be used for personal growth, corporate groups, team building, and youth development. Sessions can be one-on-one, or in a group setting.
EAL has a “learning from doing” approach, so the participants will be actively involved in the session. The horses used in the program are also active participants in each session and provide various personalities, attitudes, and moods. This element of the program adds to the learning experience by teaching us how to not only bond and communicate with the horses but also with one another in our day-to-day lives.
Oftentimes how you would interact and react to the horses, is how you interact and react with others such as peers, coworkers, teachers, family members, etc. This allows one to compare what takes place with the horses to their day-to-day lives and find opportunities for growth to take place.
Capturing the horse-human connection in this type of learning environment helps promote healing, growth, and joy within us. The reflection at the end of each activity helps us to identify our weaknesses and come up with an action plan to move forward. While safety is the number one concern, you will learn how to become comfortable and confident with the horses and allow yourself to be open to outcome.
