God is Pleased with You
Did you know that God is pleased with you? For some of you, you may know this and accept it fully. For others, it may be hard to wrap your head around it.
It’s easy to let your mistakes consume your mind. How can God be so pleased with me if I sin and fall short daily? The answer is two words: Grace and Forgiveness.
Now, if we walk around making mistakes intentionally because we know that God will forgive us, that is abusing God’s grace. But if we make mistakes unintentionally because we’re human, God forgives us freely time and time again. 7x70 Jesus tells us. (Matthew 18:21-22)
The beauty is this, you are a child a God. You are uniquely crafted and made in Gods image. There is no mistake within you! Your Father is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. This makes you royalty! You are worthy, redeemed, chosen, and forgiven. You are priceless, beautiful, precious, and victorious. Most importantly, you are LOVED!
Because you are loved and you are His, He rejoices over you with singing! (Zephaniah 3:17).
Have you ever tried really hard to please someone or gain their approval? I know I deal with this a lot in my relationships with my horses. I always want them to be happy with me, and sometimes, I wonder if they would rather be out in the pasture with their herd mates than play with me. This is my reality. I tend to overthink, fear, and doubt their love for me. But fear is not from God. The truth is, I know that they love me and are pleased with me, just as I am pleased with them. My problem is I let my thoughts consume me at times because I’m human. But when I think about the foundation of the relationship, which was built on love and trust, I know that it can never be taken from me. The same is true with your relationship with God. He is well pleased with you, and no fear, doubt, or consuming thoughts could ever take that away from you.
Take this truth and remember it throughout your week! Know that when God sees you, He smiles and rejoices. You are His beloved child, with whom He is well pleased.
